Alright folks, I may be M.I.A. for the next week or so.

Tonight I’m headed on a road trip to Southern Arizona via Las Vegas and Phoenix. It looks to be a wild ride.

I’m headed down from Portland with my 22 year old cousin and his two friends. He’s never been to Vegas before, but it’s my fourth time.

So as the older, more experienced one in the group, I guess that makes me in charge. That’s a horrifying thought. I’M in charge of a trip to Vegas. This can only end in disaster!

As a good cousin, I would like to think I’ll keep everyone out of trouble, but  then again, I know better. If history is any indication, everyone better watch out!

There could be another “Hangover” movie in the making done with my Flip.

If we live up to all the talk about this trip, there should be some good material to come of it too. Surely, a Funny Friday post will be written about it and who knows what else.

The reason I’m taking the road trip is because I’m a brilliant family member. Being the awesome cousin that I am, I offered to take a car down to another cousin who just recently moved to Southern Arizona with her husband in the Army. There’s just no limit to what I would do for my family (Notice the sarcasm).

I attempted to get per diem out of my cousin for the trip as well, but she wouldn’t bite. She’ll pay for gas, but that’s it. Better than nothing I suppose.

After Vegas, we’re headed to Tempe for 1 night at ASU and then 1 night in Sierra Vista.

After that, I’m Greyhounding it back up to Salt Lake City to chill with one of my best friends, Russell,  who just recently returned from Asia.

I’ll spend 4 days bumming around with him and maybe do a bit of skiing if I can afford it. Then I fly back to Portland and tell you guys all about the trip on the 26th.

So if you don’t hear from me for a while, that’s why. And if you’re anywhere near Vegas, Tempe, or Salt Lake City and want to party, let me know! (Well maybe not Salt Lake City I guess)

Wish me luck and I’ll do my best to stay connected along the way. No promises though.

Peace!

Dude, enjoy the road, probably the most fun thing we can do at home to get back that backpacking buzz. One issue though, I have looked at the pic above a few times and still don’t see any dudes in it, lol.
